Consultation process - double standards?
Key to the VPA process is a sound consultation process. What are different Partner countries doing to ensure effective stakeholder participation? To what extent is the EU applying its own minimum standards for consultation with Europe to civil society groups in Partner countries?



EU additional legislative options to combat illegal logging
Because of the incomplete coverage afforded by VPAs the European Commission is undertaking an analysis of options for further measures, including the feasibility of legislation, to control imports of illegally harvested timber into the EU.
